![]() This all started out messing around with a sample used throughout the song. I think I came up with the chord arrangement first and just added the other stuff along the way. I do not remember how this song started, but I do know that I had plans to use the combination of a Roland TR-909 for drums and a TB-303 for bass. I purposely try to focus on only one project at a time……and this is why! I wasn’t sure what I was listening to until I checked it against the actual Studio One project! SMH! ![]() I listened to it a couple of times thinking I had not copied it to the USB drive I use to transfer a test mix back and forth between the car and Studio One. This morning I started listening to the song and thought it was actually a different song (the song I didn’t put make a test mix of). I did make one of this song and my test mix is usually just checking the song out as I’m driving. However, I didn’t make a test mix of that song for further listening. Simple! Secondly – and this is more a story than anything else: I started working on another song yesterday just messing around and made pretty good progress. The album would be titled using the highest number in the song list. Prince’s group Madhouse simply named their songs numerically – spelling out the number for each song on an album. Two immediate takeaways on this song: first – why spend time thinking of a title when you can go with something simple.
